Located within the outstanding conservation area of Maybole in South Ayrshire, the property comprises a ground floor shop with two floors of residential accommodation above. The building has stood empty for a number of years, however its central location enabled the owner to participate in the wider Maybole Town Center Regeneration Project stage 2 bid, funded in part by Historic Environment Scotland and the Historic Lottery Fund.

The building was identified during Stage 1 of the regeneration project and during stage 2 funding was obtained to assist the client to investigate the extend of fabric repairs and basic modernisation required in order to bring the building back into use, and produce detailed, costed design proposals.
